The First Olympics Of Robots

In Harbin on the north-east of China the first in the history Olympics of humanlike robots has started.
Android-athletes created by young talents from China, South Korea, USA and Japan are competing in athletics, soccer, volleyball, boxing, and not Olympic kinds of programs - play the drum and dancing.

There are 24 kinds of contests in the program of competitions taking place at the play-field of Harbin Technological University,  in that the different students’ develops of robots: from the controlled  by remote control to fully autonomous humanoid machines.

The initiator and the ideological inspirer of the Olympics, a professor of Harbin Technological University Hung Binzhun, hopes that in less than half of a century and his dream of Olympic competitions between the human beings and robots will be realized.

Current Olympic robots have no surprise the imagination with its size and resemblance to the man yet. Rather they resemble toy-transformers with size from 20 centimeters to half a meter. The creation of each of those robots takes young professionals an amount about one thousand dollars and many months of hard work.
The Olympics is planned for three days, and according to the results of Games the best robots and their creators will be awarded with gold, silver and bronze awards. The organizers are confident that the Olympics will become an annual event.
